McKayla Robinette grew up on a century farm in eastern North Carolina, where she continues to raise grass-fed beef alongside her grandparents, parents, and brother. Her childhood was filled with 4-H and FFA events, dirt roads, and everything else that comes with farm life. In 2020, McKayla graduated from Brevard College with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies with a concentration in Sustainable Agriculture and Pre-Law. She graduated with distinction from Auburn University in 2022 with a Master of Science in Rural Sociology. In 2023, she began a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration at Walden University.
Using her background in production agriculture and extensive work with farmers, McKayla aims to provide clarity and guidance to help farming families navigate challenges and find freedom and success through action. McKayla serves as Coordinator for the NC Agromedicine Institute’s Farm and Ranch Stress Assistance Network (FRSAN-NC) program, which helps farmers, farmworkers, and their families navigate stressors and trials that arise from being in agriculture.
